I think the only few drawbacks are the map and data. You should expand and add new countries into it. Also, you should be able to save more than one country in a time period.

Otherwise, it is amazing how you can create your own history, retain your glory in colonies if your homeland is destroyed, assign famous generals to opposing sides, and so much more!
